The Toronto Blue Jays’ quest to break their 32-year title drought started off on the right foot.
Their bats stayed hot, and powered them to an 11-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the 2025 World Series. Toronto’s win came on the back of a nine-run sixth inning. Addison Barger’s pinch-hit grand slam in that frame broke the game wide open and Alejandro Kirk added a two-run shot for cushion. Shohei Ohtani hit a home run in the seventh, but it was too little too late as the Blue Jays ran away with this one.
