Apple announced the iOS 26 software update earlier this week, including some upgrades to the Wallet app. One of those improvements is support for tracking packages within the Wallet app.
The feature previously only worked with some stores when using Apple Pay, but the newly updated Wallet app will be able to automatically scan your emails and then retrieve delivery information.
The system will work completely automatically, something that dedicated tracking apps in the App Store cannot do.
The feature can be disabled and enabled at will within the Apple Pay portion of the Settings app, but is currently labeled as a beta feature, which means that it might not work as expected. It’s also important to remember that iOS 26 itself is a beta, which means that it shouldn’t be installed on devices that are not used for testing purposes. Bugs and issues are to be expected, both for this new package-tracking feature and iOS 26 as a whole.
The current iOS 26 beta is available to developers, while a public beta will be available in July. The final release for the public version of iOS 26 is expected to be released in September, likely alongside the new iPhones and Apple Watches.
Apple also announced new versions of the iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro software during WWDC, with betas already available across the board.
