BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Health officials in our region are reminding you to be on the lookout for bloodsucking hitchhikers.
The Clinton County Health Department says that as temperatures consistently stay above 40 degrees, ticks are out and about.
They can carry diseases harmful to you and your pets.
Health leaders say the best way to stay healthy is to avoid getting bit at all.
That means avoiding dense woods and bushy areas, using bug repellent that contains DEET, covering as much skin as possible, and wearing light colored clothes.
