A Comprehensive, Multidisciplinary Approach to Golf Performance Comes to the PGA of America Coaching Center powered by T-Mobile
FRISCO, Texas, July 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — The PGA of America and Sports Academy announced a multiyear partnership with the PGA of America Coaching Center to offer golfers of all ages and skill levels access to world-class performance training, recovery and diagnostics—all under one roof.
Starting today, golfers can book personalized consultations with Sports Academy professionals to develop customized strength and conditioning programs that support their game—whether they’re working toward their first birdie or prepping for elite-level tournaments. This partnership brings together elite golf instruction with evidence-based sports performance, creating one of the most comprehensive golf training environments in the country.
“This partnership with Sports Academy gives us the opportunity to show North Texas residents why the PGA of America Coaching Center is the premier teaching, coaching and training facility for golfers,” said Tim Cusick, PGA Master Professional and Head Coach at the PGA of America Coaching Center. “We remain committed to providing comprehensive support in developing each player’s full potential.”
Through this collaboration, PGA of America Golf Professionals will have access to a full-circle referral system to support their athletes beyond the range and course. Rather than simply focusing on flexibility or core strength, golfers will be introduced to a progressive strength and conditioning approach rooted in sports science. The goal? Build strength, power, mobility and movement efficiency—without intimidation or unnecessary complexity—through programs that meet each golfer where they are.
“A key part of this partnership is shifting the conversation around golf fitness,” said Nate Borunda, Co-Founder of Sports Academy. “We’re here to break down outdated beliefs and showcase what quality, individualized strength and performance training should look like for golfers—no matter their level.”
What makes this partnership unique is the combination of elite instruction, custom club fitting, and Sports Academy’s multidisciplinary performance staff—all in one location. Golfers will have access to experts in golf-specific strength & conditioning, sports science, sports nutrition, recovery, and soft tissue therapy, creating a unified approach to long-term development, injury prevention, and total-body performance.
This holistic model supports and enhances the PGA of America’s Athlete Development Model by not only training the body but addressing mindset and readiness for competition. Clients will also have access to Sports Academy’s nearby Fieldhouse USA facility, featuring a state-of-the-art weight room, recovery lounge, and diagnostics lab.
Reservations will be available beginning July 7, 2025. For more information or to reserve a session, visit sportsacademypga.us.
