The iOS 26 public beta 1 OTA profile release date, alongside iPadOS 26, macOS 26, and tvOS 26 public beta 1 release date, has been announced.
The public beta for visionOS 26 has also been confirmed for Apple Vision Pro owners. Here are the details you need to know.
Apple announced the raft of new software updates during an event on June 9 with the initial beta release being made available immediately. But for those who are on the public beta program, a little wait was in order. Apple tends to wait until it’s released a few developer betas to ensure that it’s ironed out the main problems — and this year is no different.
To be specific, these new betas will all arrive next month before a months-long program that will culminate in a final release to the wider iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple TV-owning public in or around September.
Those who want to get their own beta fun can sign up for the public beta program now at beta.apple.com. Signing up is free, but again, they’re betas — if you need your device to work 100% of the time, we’d suggest leaving these well alone.
If everything goes the way that we expect it to, Apple will release its new software this September alongside new iPhones and Apple Watches.
