Ann Ling brings more than two decades of financial services experience to the role, which she will assume on Jul 1
[SINGAPORE] HSBC Global Private Banking has appointed a new regional head of wealth planning and advisory for Asia-Pacific via an internal promotion.
Ann Ling, who currently heads wealth planning for Hong Kong, the Philippines and international markets, will assume the role on Jul 1, financial industry publication Finews said on Friday (Jun 27).
She will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Lok Yim, the Asia-Pacific regional head of private banking.
Ling has more than two decades of financial services experience, having held senior wealth planning roles at JP Morgan and UBS prior to joining HSBC in 2019. She also previously worked at Morgan Stanley and EY.
“Ann’s extensive experience in wealth planning, coupled with her deep understanding of international markets and family dynamics will further strengthen our leadership in delivering bespoke solutions,” said Yim.
Her appointment reflects the bank’s commitment to helping its customers achieve their intergenerational wealth transfer and preservation goals, Yim added.
