“Brave the Dark,” the feature-length film about a Garden Spot High School teacher and his student, is now digitally available.
Those who have a membership to the Angel Guild — run by Angel Studios, which distributed “Brave the Dark” — can watch on its streaming platform for free.
Otherwise, “Brave the Dark” is available to rent or buy on Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play and YouTube. It’s also available on DVD and Blu-Ray.
“Brave the Dark” is based on a true story about the impact Stan Deen had on student Nate Busko (now Nate Deen, after changing his name in honor of Stan Deen). Jared Harris, of “Chernobyl” and “Mad Men,” performs as Stan Deen, and Nicholas Hamilton, of “It” and “Captain Fantastic,” plays Nate Williams. Much of the film was produced and filmed in Lancaster County.
It was directed by Damian Harris, known for “Gardens of the Night” and “The Rachel Papers.” It made its theatrical debut Jan. 24, with a showing at the Fulton Theatre on Jan. 11.
