STOCKHOLM, July 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — RaySearch Laboratories AB (publ) and Radiology Oncology Systems, Inc. (ROS) are pleased to announce a strategic partnership, aiming at identifying and pursuing opportunities involving both emerging and existing technologies, with focus on the integration of refurbished linear accelerators with advanced software solutions. The collaboration has already resulted in several agreements.
The purpose of the partnership is to jointly offer comprehensive solutions that expand access to radiation therapy, ensure high-quality care, and strengthen each party’s market position. Today, many fully functional linear accelerators are routinely scrapped after 10 years, instead of being refurbished and used in centers that lack cancer treatment technology. Together, the parties will work on the refurbished market, contribute to circularity, and extend the lifecycle of linear accelerators – advancing sustainability in radiation therapy. For RaySearch, the partnership will support a wider adoption of RayStation®* and RayCare®*.
Within the partnership, orders have already been placed by two centers in Argentina, both equipped with Varian TrilogyTM linear accelerators, one center in the USA, using TrueBeam® and RayStation, and a Mexican center using Elekta Versa HD® and RayStation.
