Only 11 players in NFL history have won both AP MVP and the Super Bowl in the same season.
The list includes Bart Starr, Terry Bradshaw, Mark Moseley, Lawrence Taylor, Joe Montana, Emmitt Smith, Steve Young, Brett Favre, Terrell Davis, Kurt Warner and most recently, Patrick Mahomes.
While Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen recently secured the MVP honor, he did not win the Super Bowl, after his Bills lost in the AFC title game last season.
Allen received 27 first-place votes to Lamar Jackson’s 23.
Can the feat be accomplished for a 12th time this upcoming season?
Here are the early odds for winning next year’s MVP and the Super Bowl as of July 8 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Mahomes made history in the 2022 season by becoming the first player this century to win MVP and a Super Bowl in the same year.
That season, Mahomes also became the 10th player in NFL history to repeat as MVP and the seventh player to win regular-season MVP, Super Bowl MVP and the Super Bowl in the same season.
Currently, with +3500 odds, Mahomes and the Chiefs are second on the oddsboard.
Should teams still fear the Kansas City Chiefs?

Following K.C. are Jalen Hurts and the Eagles at +6000 odds, after their Super Bowl win over the Chiefs just last season. Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP at the conclusion of the season.
The first two non-quarterbacks to crack the oddsboard are Saquon Barkley (+20000) and Derrick Henry (+20000).
Emmitt Smith is the only running back to have won both the MVP award and the Super Bowl. He achieved this in 1993 when he helped lead the Dallas Cowboys to victory in Super Bowl XXVIII.
