Here’s iOS 26.0.1 battery life drain test and performance video on older iPhone models that is worth checking out.
iAppleBytes is back with a new video which shows battery life and performance comparison on video. The battery test methodology involves a pre-test setup where devices are configured to 25% display brightness, with auto-brightness disabled, and all settings are set identically.
The devices are connected to the same access point to ensure consistency. The Geekbench 4 Battery Benchmark is used to evaluate battery life by running processor-intensive applications, which provide a consistent workload. This benchmark generates a score based on the device’s performance during battery discharge and the time taken for the battery to deplete.
The benchmark operates in two modes: Full Discharge Mode and Partial Discharge Mode. Full Discharge Mode runs from 100% to 0% battery, offering high confidence in the device’s battery performance. Partial Discharge Mode runs for 3 hours, and if stopped after 10 minutes, the result can be saved and uploaded.
Scores from Full Discharge Mode are highly reliable, while those from Partial Discharge Mode provide medium confidence, with longer tests being more reliable. Higher scores indicate better performance, with a score twice as high representing double the performance.
