13 more brands will gain Car Key support soon

At the WWDC keynote, Apple revealed that Car Key will roll out to thirteen new car brands— though we’re not entirely sure when.

The Car Key feature has allowed iPhone owners to open and start their cars using their mobile devices for quite some time now. And it looks like Apple has partnered with even more brands to add support for Car Key.

On Monday, Apple held the keynote for WWDC 2025. While much of the focus was on its multi-platform UI overhaul, it did sneak in a few car-related features we can expect soon.

Of course, there were a decent amount of CarPlay updates, including a “Liquid Glass” design update, Widgets, and Live Activities on the dashboard. But there was also a very brief mention of Car Key support getting rolled out to even more brands — 13 to be exact.

Here are the brands that we can expect to see gain support at some point in the near future. Several of them don’t sell in the US.

    • Acura
    • Cadillac
    • Chery
    • Chevrolet
    • GMC
    • Hongqi
    • Lucid
    • Porsche
    • Rivian
    • Smart
    • Tata
    • Voyah
    • WEY

As anticipated, while Apple did announce that these brands would be getting support, it didn’t actually say when the support would be rolling out. Once these brands are added to the list, 33 brands in total will support Apple Wallet integration.
